Idipsum Sapere - To be of One Mind

If You are not willing to learn, no one can help You. If You are determined to learn, no one can stop You. Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I'm possible. This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car. We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly. While You are busy looking for the perfect person, You'll probably miss the imperfect person who could make You perfectly happy. When the Lord closes a door, somewhere He opens a window. Angry people want you to see how powerful they are...loving people want you to see how powerful You are. A mind is like a parachute, It doesn't work if it is not open. When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. Apologizing does not always mean that your’re wrong and the other person’s right. It just means that you value your relationship more than your ego. In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson. Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be. People were created to be loved. Things were created to be used. The reason why the world is in chaos is because things are being loved and people are being used.  Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that. Doing what you like is freedom, liking what you do is happiness. You can discover what your enemy fears most by observing the means he uses to frighten you. When I tell the truth, it is not for the sake of convincing those who do not know it, but for the sake of defending those that do.

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts. The man who follows the crowd will usually get no further than the crowd. The man who walks alone is likely to find himself in places no one has ever been. The world is big enough for everyones needs, but it is too small for the greed of one man. No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it. When it gets down to having to use violence, then you’re playing the system’s game. The establishment will irritate you, pull your beard, flick your face to make you fight. Because once they’ve got you violent, then they know how to handle you. The only thing they don’t know how to handle is non-violence and humor. You've never really been your own person. You're just a mosaic of what's been indoctrinated into you. Many people, especially ignorant people, want to punish you for speaking the truth, for being correct, for being you. Never apologize for being correct, or for being years ahead of your time. If you’re right and you know it, speak your mind. Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is still the truth. The definition of insanity is repeating the same action and expecting a different outcome. In the midst of great joy, do not promise anyone anything. In the midst of great anger, do not answer anyone's letter. An eye for an eye, and soon the whole world is blind. A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in. I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them to the real facts. Only two things are unlimited, the universe and human stupidity — though I'm not sure about the universe. The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. If you don't read the newspaper you're uninformed. If you read the newspaper you're misinformed. Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free. You can ignore reality, but you can’t ignore the consequences of ignoring reality. There are no facts, only interpretations. In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. People who think they know everything really annoy those of us who know we don't. Dictators are never as strong as they think they are. And the people are never as weak as they think they are. When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent. Do you see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind.  Fight for your world, not your country. The most basic question is not what is best, but who shall decide what is best.

Is everything a conspiracy? No, just the important stuff.

Behind every great fortune there is a crime. Money is a new form of slavery, and distinguishable from the old simply by the fact that it is impersonal - that there is no human relation between master and slave. I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous than standing armies. Banking is not money lending; to lend, a money lender must have money. By dividing the voter through the political party system we can get them to expend their energies in fighting for questions of no importance. The two parties should be almost identical so that the American people can 'throw the rascals out' at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes it's laws. Whoever controls the volume of money in our country is absolute master of all industry and commerce...when you realize that the entire system is very easily controlled, one way or another, by a few powerful men at the top, you will not have to be told how periods of inflation and depression originate. When a service is free, you're not the customer. You're the product. If our nation can issue a dollar bond, it can issue a dollar bill. The element that makes the bond good, makes the bill good, also. The difference between the bond and the bill is the bond lets money brokers collect twice the amount of the bond and an additional 20%, whereas the currency pays nobody but those who contribute directly in some useful way. It is absurd to say that our country can issue $30 million in bonds and not $30 million in currency. Both are promises to pay, but one promise fattens the usurers and the other helps the people. Gold Is Money. Everything Else Is Credit. The last duty of a central banker is to tell the public the truth. It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning. The best way to rob a bank is to own one. Debts that cannot be repaid, will not be repaid. Gold is the money of kings, silver is the money of gentlemen, barter is the money of peasants, but debt is the money of slaves. He Who Has The Gold Makes The Rules.
